End of football season pitch maintenance schedule
2007-03-25
As the football season nears its end for the 2006/07 season there is a great deal of work required during the closed season to allow the football pitches to recover from the heavy wear and tear of the football that has been played on the grounds.
A closed season football pitch maintenance plan
During the closed season my team and I ensure that the pitch is given ground maintenance care that only the closed season is able to offer and specific maintenance that can only be carried out during a time when football is not being regularly played on the pitch.
I am able to offer a client a range of services, depending on the budget available, to ensure that the pitch maintenance achieves the required recovery of the playing surface during this period of maintenance.
The closed football season allows for scarification, aeration and re-seeding of a football pitch to ensure that the playing surface can recover in time for the start of the new football season only a few months later.
Advice on underground irrigation installation, through to the installation of such a system, can also be provided and is of particular benefit to a football pitch during what can be several months of particularly dry weather.
