Autumn renovation and maintenance of golf green, Ferndown, Dorset, August 2019
Further to our previous post on the golf green maintenance work in Ferndown, Dorset at Dudsbury Luxury Golf Club, Hotel & Spa, the work has been completed and some final images appear below.
We used our Sisis TM1000 for use on the golf greens and tees.
Front 9 Tees, fairways, approaches, green and surrounds have all been worked on. Greens over seeded with new cultivar of Bent grass (Riptide).
All the golf playing surfaces had work carried out on them. Golf course cut and tidied several times.
Golf green double scarified, tined with 12mm solids at 175mm depth , topdressed with 40 tonne 90/10 mix, rolled, seeded with brand new Riptide bent grass, sorrel rolled, brushed, and drag matted. Fertilizer, wetting agent, and amino mix applied to greens.

This seed needs every chance to establish. The greens will be kept damp and height of cut will be raised for 2 weeks. With many chemicals being banned this work is even more essential to make sure we have the best surfaces in the future.

All these maintenace and improvement works should produce better playing surface and have more disease resistance.
